Neodymium Doped Gadolinium Vanadate

This material is one of the newer active laser media for diode pumped laser systems. Compared to Nd:YAG, Neodymium Doped Gadolinium Vanadate offers similar advantages to Nd:YVO4 – high gain, low threshold and high absorption coefficients – but has the additional advantage of much higher thermal conductivity.

Because of this Nd:GdVO4 is seen as a good choice for higher power DPSS lasers.

Roditi is able to supply Nd:YVO4 crystals with cross-sections from 1x1m to 16x16mm, with a length of up to 20mm. Nd dopant levels are available from 0.2 atm% to around 3.0 atm%. AR and HT coatings in a variety of combinations can be specified for the crystals.
